X M2 Exercises – Longer Phrases – Poems

Poem 1 – The Weather

The rain taps softly on the glass,
The clouds above begin to pass.
A gentle sound, a steady beat,
Like quiet rhythm in the street.

The wind moves slow, then picks up pace,
A cool fresh air upon my face.
I speak each word both loud and clear,
And let the rhythm guide me here.

Poem 2 – At the Shop

I walk inside, I take my time,
I speak my words in steady rhyme.
“I’d like some bread,” I say out loud,
My voice is clear, my tone is proud.

I pay the bill, I say “thank you,”
A simple phrase, but strong and true.
Each moment here is chance to try,
To speak with care and not rush by.

Poem 3 – A Quiet Evening

The lights are low, the day is done,
The evening brings a calmer tone.
I sit and think, reflect, unwind,
And let the busy day rewind.

My breathing slows, my speech is clear,
Each word I say, I choose with care.
I take my time, no need to rush,
I let my voice stay calm and hushed.

Poem 4 – The Garden

The garden grows in green and gold,
With flowers bright and colours bold.
I walk between the rows of leaves,
And feel the calm the space gives me.

The bees hum low, the breeze is light,
The sun is warm, the sky is bright.
I match my speech to steps I take,
A steady rhythm that I make.
